Got a forum running under phpbb now, but I'd like to switch to Ipb.

Now, to buy it from Ipb itself, I simply don't have enough money in my paypal to fund it, so is there anyone here who can help me getting an Ipb, a legal one off course?

Given the fact you just read this, you should also know by now that I can't possibly pay the same price as Ipb itself would ask...

So if anyone is interested or has some ideas, please share :)

Legal IPB is over 100 bucks.. I dont think anyone will be willing to buy you a licensed one for free (newest one) But i think you can get a free version or trial.

Heyhey, I'm not saying to do it for free, I'm just saying I can't spent the whole deal on it.
So if someone were to sell his account or something like that.

Not meaning for free, not by far :). I know it costs a lot so would never ask that :)

Hmmz, I'd prefer a more up to date Ipb though.
If not, I'll just save up for the one on Ipb itself i guess.

Best thing for you to do is save up and get everyhing through IPS. That way you will gurantee yourself the suppport service and extra features.

It's hard to get it for free as very few people would have it.

Is your website still in it's early stages (and relatively small)?

If so, it's best to upgrade to version 1.3 now (as phpbb >>> IPB is the biggest hurdle). As your site gets bigger get ads/sponsorship for it and then when you have enough money saved up buy IPB 2.x or whatever is the latest at that time.

The reason I'm saying to upgrade to an older version of IPB now is that if your website is small and something goes wrong during the phpbb to IPB upgrade, you will lose fewer members than if you save up for IPB first, buy it, upgrade and find something goes terribly wrong.

    Good Luck!

    Oh I see.

In which case you should just save up a lot (hopefully shouldn't be too hard if you have high advertising revenues), and then make sure you get support from IPS (Invision Power Services) to assist you with the upgrade as and when you perform it.

    Your in Luck ^_^

I can give you a 100% legal IPB v2.0.0, as you might know a unlimited trial was given out a long time ago, and it just so happens I got a hold of it back then, its almost impossible to find nowadays. You can install almost everything that you see here on gamerenders, since its in the same 2.0.x version.

I could also supply hosting for it, if you needed, and could install mods of your choice that are available on Invisionize. I could also perform the conversion of posts/members from phpbb, as for a price for it all id be willing to do it for GR, as for an amount im unsure.

PM Me if your interested ^_^

If you dont want to go that way, purchase a VB License for $80, the newest version available is 3.6.5 which is pretty good.

I thought IPB specified that even with the 2.0.0 version (AKA unlimited trial) you had to remove it within a certain amount of time or whatever, so if an IPS representative comes across it, won't they have the powers to remove it as thats what the T's and C's specify?

I'm just asking as I'm not too sure what the policy is for this rare release.
