Glad I consider myself a conservative independent. As for O' Reilly, I am not a big fan of the media in terms of personalities. I have a very small interest for Michael Savage because of his unique views and funny rants, but noone is near as good as Edward R. Murrow.

@Moch+: I dont mind liberals as a whole, but when they start distraughtly supporting things like these new rules of engagement and spinelessly flip-flopping on the Iraq issue, I fear that the once great Democrat party starts to lack backbone. In the words of H.L. Mencken:

It is this reason I despite both parties and fear that this constant paranoia that we are upsetting someone or that we are being inhumane is going to have us killed at the hands of our enemies - people who hate almost everything about us.

I hate liberal vs. conservative crap. I hate democrats vs. republicans crap. Let's have ISSUES, not TEAMS. This isn't a basketball game, this is politics.

Conservatives and liberals are one and the same: They both want total control of this country at any cost. They both suck, get it straight. Conservatives has helped, and they have hurt. Liberals has helped, and they have hurt.

Honestly people need to get it straight: Conservatives suck. Liberals suck, and anyone who isn't liberal or conservative doesn't get listened to.

It's sad. I wish people will just shut the :censored: up about the liberal and conservative crap.

I'll talk about Hilary later. I don't find her that bad of an upcoming president, honestly. Though I want more or less Obama to win of the democrats were to take it.

I cant stand the fight either, but its there because of what type of politicians exist. However, their common goal is not necessarily national domination, despite the rivalry. Republics, once called the Federalists, believed in focusing on trade and local government, while Democrats, known as Anti-Federalists, wanted national government and focus on the people' s rights. It's flip-flopped over the years and has landed at this: Conservatives have the more traditional view and liberals having the more broad view, but both are far from the Truth that lies in the middle of the road.

As for Obamas, I understand that hes young and has new stuff to bring to the table as a presidential candidate, but who is this guy? I mean, I know who Barack Obamas is, but I am only familiar with the fact that he was a Middle American senator. What other political experience does he have?

Meh, both Conservatives and Liberals seems to be something the media just labeled as this and that. You see, if Republicans and Conservatives are really against/with everything the media proclaims, gay-marriage would've most likely been an amendment. They had everything under control in order to create an amendment like this. Instead, it was banned individually. Democrats themselves also banned gay marriage, except for one or two states. California is a Republican state, gay marriage is all over that place.

Honestly, Conservatives and Liberals are both just a bunch of crap that will never have the capabilities of leading this country. Those that are worthy and are strong and can actually lead this country properly, are not listened to, and are just meh to the idiots in the higher office.

Barack Obama, seneator of Illinois, would be a great president IMO. I remember reading an issue that said that doctors of Illinois wanted to be prejudice towards homosexuals, and not offer ANY kind of medical assisstance whatsoever. Dying human beings, being denied of medical attention because of their sexual preference, that they don't really even put on paper. Obama just pwned all of them saying that it was their JOB to help people, not be prejudice like that.

Obama seems to be a somewhat different politician. I wouldn't mind seeing him winning, he has some good ideas. Course, though, this is just the beginning. We'll never be too sure if he'll end up being worse than Bush, who, contrary to popular belief, is NOT that bad of a President as people proclaim.

As far as Hilary goes, a lot of the things she wants to do will not be able to be passed, so I really have no worry on any of those issues. Clinton was not that bad of a President, and she'll be the first woman President. Honestly, if you take out the things she's obviously going to get denied at, she won't be that bad. She'll be decent, to say the least.

Democrats are obviously taking this one, you can see it through the change of congress. Whether or not they'll do a good job, we'll have to find out.

California has a Republican governer. That's about the only thing that's the majority "Republican" in that particular state. Its population base happens to be huge, all concentrated in a relatively small area (Southern California), and tends to swing in the more liberal direction; Aaaaaaaaaahnuld just happened to win points on certain issues he ran on.

Oh lord....... Oh lord. Oh lord. Oh lord.

Just because you registered yourself as a Republican, doesn't mean you should vote for every Republican candidate JUST CAUSE YOU REGISTERED REPUBLICAN. If you think that, you're a downright TOOL, and should probably have no right to even THINK about voting.

Everybody needs to look at ALL the issues in a comparative fashion. Diving into the deepest of issues, finding out the TRUTH. Not believing one or two things and that is it. Don't be bias. Republicans suck. Democrats suck. The rest nobody cares about listening to even though their ideas might work even better than current ideas.

Bush hasn't even done that much harm to this place. You guys act like he's transformed our Constitutional Democratic-Republic into utter Fascism. He has done no such thing. We're in Iraq for a REASON. Do I need to explain to you every little thing that involves the War in Iraq? Do I need to explain to you the Patriot Act and why it was set into play?

In all honesty everyone seems to be complete tools, not grasping anything and not finding personal facts, but much rather following the media completely and not comparing a thing.

Let something SWIRL in your head, THEN form an opinion. Bush has not done as much damage as people think he has done. Clinton stole money from the surplus, oh yeah, but he's a GREAT President! People don't understand why he was on trial for impeachment.

I want to just slap half of the people discussing politics in this thread. Honestly I only have major respect for one individual here, and that's Ferret. Everyone else can kiss my :censored: . I'm tired of hearing this BS more and more.

Clinton will not be that bad of a president if elected. The idiotic ideas she may have been thinking of will not come into play, but rather the ideas that are half-way decent would not be that bad if it comes into play.

Obama would be another fine president. Possibly better than Hilary. He has done plenty of wonders for Illinois. He's a very well-rounded governor, and will probably be a fantastic President.

Republican candidates are pretty well-rounded themselves. Though, I highly doubt republicans will take the 2008 elections. This is due to the fact that there has been a complete 180 in everything. The change in Congress and the House is one major indication. I will not play them out just yet, though. Anything can happen.

Honestly, I don't want neither Republican or Democrat in office. Get a freakin Independent and call it a day. An Independent President will probably be a lot better than any Democratic or Republican President. Or how about a Libertarian? Sounds like a deal to me!

    Quit being tools everyone:
    - You don't vote for someone over one issue. That's ignorance and stupidity.
    - You don't vote for someone just because you registered as [insert political party]. That's just as stupid as voting for someone over one issue.
    - You must look at ALL issues, ALL facts, and form your OWN opinion, never follow the opinions of others.
    - Listen to those that never get listened to by the media. They might just be better than any major candidate.
    - Be your own voter. ;)

but a majority of people are idiots.

mommy and daddy were members of "political part X" so it's much easier to vote like how mommy and daddy said, because any sort of cognition requires effort.
