I have a budget of £800 to find a great computer for gaming and work.

I tried meshcomputers and came up with these specs:

    Key Features:

    Cutting Edge Power PC
    Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6400 Processor
    (2.13GHz ,2MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz)
ASUS P5N-E SLI nForce 650i Mainboard
    2048MB DDR2 Memory
    320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
    256MB nVIDIA Geforce 7600GS Graphics
    19" Widescreen TFT LCD Display
Sony 18x Super Format DVD Writer
    5.1 Channel Surround Sound Audio
6 USB, 2x Firewire, GB LAN
Logitech Cordless KB & Optical Mouse
Classic Warranty-3 Years parts & lab.

Can you find anything better ?

You can build a relativity kick ass pc for £800. I had a budget of around £500 and I got some good stuff like a 7600GT, 1gb ram, AMD 4000. It not top of the line specs mind

As soon as I saw this thread, I was going to recommend a Mesh!

I personally have a MESH (Titanium) and that's been running great and although I know a few people who have had problems with Mesh's, mine's running fine :) (had it for around a year) and I had to get my HDD replaced and they had pretty decent customer service.

I doubt MESH will be beaten on that price as they are pretty good value for money. Medion sometimes have good offers on as well, so I'd keep checking their website (https://www.medionshop.co.uk/). Also if you have an ALDI store near you, I'd go there to see which Medion PCs are available. My friend got a pretty high spec Medion relatively cheap.

Hmm yeah but I've had bad experiences with eBuyer in the past when buying a router and some other stuff.

They don't even have a telephone helpline!

You'd better build a pc yourself, but if you don't want... sure go ahead, but I can almost gaurantee you will be ripped..

I don't think MESH let you do that but it might have changed since I bought my PC...

    Yep, thought so.
You could try calling them though and see if they could do it over the phone.
