Where Is The Damn Msdos.sys

    Yes, that is correct where the heck is the msdos.sys file in windows xp --- i have been looking for it all day and have had no luck, i know they say its usually hidden but how the heck do you find it. Any help would be appreciated

    -and i have tryed using the "search" feature in winxp rpo. I'm no moron i just don't know where the heck the msdos.sys file is!

    maybe it doesnt exist on XP...

    Microsoft stopped development on DOS in 2000.
    one year later, XP came out.

    but im not sure what msdos.sys is, so perhaps im wrong

    EDIT: from Wikipeida
    Windows NT-based systems (NT 3.1-4, 2000 and XP) do not use the file, as they have a different boot sequence, such as the NTLDR file.
