I know this is a n00b question like but i'm wondering how do i start a clan, i'm looking it be a very successful one and have lots of members. What would be the best way to start and to build up the members and get us a good name and be very popular? It's a battlefield 1942 clan.
Do people still play that? Meh. To make a clan you need to put in alot of time and effort, and if you want it to be a big & good clan, Money. You can start off by getting some mates together at first, then make a free website, maybe. Or shell out and get a paid website, maybe a forum and stuff. This will gain more people. Thinking of a name is quite hard, but just think of something quite cool, 3 letters is normally best, but can be bigger or smaller. Abreviations are great, and if you can spell a word, for instance, my brother's clan for UT is DoG (Death or Glory) so it looks cool, and sounds pretty cool. After time you will want to purchase a game server, this will give you a chance to practice for matches, or have a public one where people can come and play, and maybe, join up. There just a few simple things off the top of my head tbh
You need at least 2 or 3 other people to start it with you. Get a website and forums. Start pubbing in a certain server, so those regulars get to know you, and such. Then later buy a public server and a private match server.
Thanx very much, all were very helpful. Merged Post: oh yeah, people do still play it but like 90% of servers don't have people in them, but the one's that do have people in them there are like 60 people in them at 1 time so it's good fun 'Snipering'
maybe you could like go to a server with many people and ask some of them to join your new clan some ppl will join, i have notice the more your better then a certain person the more they will think about joing your clan btw im making a new clan too
