Education is very important. I have learned sooooo many things in school that i probably wouldnt have learned if i didnt go to school. Some of the stuff is actually interesting and you actually will use alot fo the stuff you learn. You will certainly use math and well you never know what your profession will be so its good to learn just in case you pick it up as an interest. Schools great for social skills and you make friends. School is fun and when you have good teachers schools better.

YOu dont necessarily have to use what you learn everyday. It just might come in handy like thirty years from now. Plus its always good to know things. Then you can teach.

SOme stuff is useless mind warping but mostly its all good. Therefore i 80% disagree with your friend xelink

    trust me, MAXism doesn't exist.
MAXism is not a philosophical theology and it was not invented by MARX

    MAXism does not exist

The grades gained from education are pretty much the easy way out of measuring someones potential. College will say they want people who are not just intelligent but have potential. By getting A grades across the board will show that someone can multitask and learn information quickly and thoroughly. However if people only get good grades in the subject they like then it will show that they either cant multitask or they're just lazy. I agree that some of the things learnt in school are useless but its all a part of the govenments way of measuring peoples potential.
They should really find a new way to measure this but theres not gonna really be any ways that i can think of that everyone would be happy with. And its doubtful that if they did find out a way it would be accepted with open arms, teachers would have to be re-taught and places like England are already in short supply of teachers.

Pretty much i simply disagree with that statement and find a new way of measuring peoples abilities in school would be EXTREMELY difficult to make and implement.

    I agree 90%

School is also used, in my opinion, as a tool to help build a more socially adaptable society that knows how to deal with real world situations.

Well hmm this is interesting i think that in order to achieve a good job you MUST go to post-edu. i've seen the studies and they show that it's much more difficult to get a good job without at least a masters.

Me personally though could care less. I was accepted into mode school and skipped a few grades but now i'm just a high school slacker :P
