Has he been acting like this for a while or just today?

If it's something new and untreated, your dog might have some stress related syndrome or maybe a hot spot on or near his rear end.

The exact thing has happened to my dog, and it really isn't a big deal. But you still should go and see the vet.

I hope all goes well for your furry friend :)

I wish the best for you, but I don't think you can really do anything right now except for making sure he doesn't move around too much and not playing around with him.

It sounds like be broke a bone (Do they have bones there?) in his tail, or pulled a muscle there or something. That happened to my dog one time, and he just kind of got over after a day or two.

He may have eaten something and it could have got "backed up" in his bowels.

Just bare with it until you take him to the vet. Keep it calm and comfortable and it should be fine.

If not, broken bone or something

Id call the vet to ask for help, or suggestions, not a forum.
