Steam is an application which is used, or has to be used, to play games which are powered by steam. For example, the Counter-Strike Series, Half Life Series, Day of Defect etc.
I got banned for 'the used of hacks'. I've never hacked, I'm too scared to download hacks because of keyloggers and stuff like that. No skins, only CPL and CEVO GUI. Maybe it though the ESEA Client was a hack...
Well I guess you just got unlucky, some hackers can go hacking for a couple of years with one steam account, and non-hackers can get wrongfully banned just cos they're too good
considering my comp is 7 years old and can run source i think thats decent and i mean like when u double click on a server and it says starting up counterstrike. that part
i used to play CS: Condition Zero alot then one day i wanted to play online (always played by myself with bots, love to finish the campaigns before playing online on any game) i didnt have steam so i install it, 2 hours later after downloading all the patches i played a bit, to much hassle to play online later that night my mother turned the modem off, me who wasnt sleepy did what i always did when i wasent sleepy and without internet, i tried to play CS:CZ with bots, IT SAYS I HAD TO BLOODY LOGIN TO PLAY MY OWN BLOODY GAME IN SINGLEPLAYER, its absolute bs
What about how sometimes after you finish a game, like right after you get some bull---- pop up. I was playing day of defeat: source(back when my account wasnt banned for no reason) and I closed it because I was done. My computer always goes slow after I lose a huge program. Then all the sudden I get some steam pop up "Here take this survey". What the flying ------, I dont want to take a survey, then another one comes up telling me that half life 2 is going to be released soon. It used to do this all the time. I would have to wait for my pc to stop lagging before I could close it, ------ing it would piss me off, I dont want to take a stupid survey, jesus
Boxiom, instead of yelling at the top of your lungs in a support ticket, do this. Ask politely Provide a screenshot that show that when you try to log in to steam, it says your account is disabled. Provide your account name, And any CD keys you used on the account. At the bottom of your steam ticket, Tell them that It is not an issue with your steam client or your computer, And that your account has just been disabled. Trust me, I did this when my account got hacked, and got it back before anything bad happened.
Hmm, on my Steam account I have Red Orchestra, Half-Life 1/2 (ep1, and all HL expansions), CS:S, DoD:S, DoD, CS:Z, CS 1.6, Garry's Mod (ofc). On my Steam account I have had 0 complaints, 0 bad logins, and a few pissed off attempts to play my games offline, but with failure. I like Steam, but I've had a pretty pleasant experience with it.
I always thought steam was good, but I woulden't know. I don't play games on pc, I play just on consel's such as ps2, ps3, xbox, and xbox-360.
