Why Steam Sucks.

I've had my fair share of crap with steam. The Gold account I bought back when HL2 and all of that first came out was randomly deactivated last spring and I couldn't get it back. Why? Because my mom had gotten rid of the credit card she had used to purchase the account. Thanks for having alternatives, Steam.

Outside of that, I haven't had any big gripes. The most annoying part is the favorites being wiped randomly, but I haven't had that happen lately.

 

In source when ever I try to add a server to my favorites, source closes asap gg..

 

The only thing i used was the CEVO GUI.

 

For everyone whos b----ing about steam, causing problems and such, as a steam user, and supporter, Im gonna have to tell you to REINSTALL steam if you have some weird error, liks css closing for no reason.

There are many things that can cause this, maybe looking on the steampowered forums would help, as for alternatives in payment... steam now accepts paypal.

So quit the b----in and suck it up princess

And besides, steam is better than having to buy every game out there and remember the cds or not break the cds, here all you need is a cdkey and you can download forever, for those of you who are saying "I lost my account" and such, I feel for you, it must suck, but I am sure with patients and spam on the forum and tech support service, they will do something about it.

And I'm sorry if anyone takes this offensively, its hard to get a point like this across without stepping it up a notch.

Oh, and btw, as a previous Counter-Strike Hacker, I can say from experience that steam accounts do not get banned from steam for using hacks. They just simply get banned from VAC protected servers (if they enter a VAC server with the hack on)... It used to be a year, but now its life (i think).

steam actually saw an increase in hacking after it implemented the 1 yr banning, so it increased it to lifetime ban.

so if you are gonna hack lol be prepared to lose your ability to play on VAC2 secured servers

To be honest, there's still heaps of hackers around, every game I see a hacker, either a waller or aimbotter.

 

I don't trust hacks. Might have a keylogger or backdoor or something .

I do, but hackers can get around them and the server admin can do nothing about it until the game ends and everyone is kicked out and loads a new game.

 

You can't get banned for Nothing. stop lying.
