    So I had a thread selling tags.
    It said --- tags for sale.

    I was clearly not trying to bypass the filter.
    I simply stated the word and it was blocked like always.

    Just like if I said ------ or ----.

    Anyway, if we cannot say rankings on this site, why the ------ is there a whole thread dedicated to ranking people and using the banned words?

    Someone please explain this to me.

    Those threads were made a long time before the word filters were put in, i dont see a problem with one of them myself but i think the other should be removed. The word filters were put there for a reason and are there to stay.

    The word filters are there because we on GR dont like to and dont want to differentiate members because of their supposed "rank",gamerenders is a site that supports learning and sharing not only gfx but other things also,the introduction of the word filter ofr such "ranked" words was introduced so that members on gamerenders were not classed any different from anyone else,and everyone would be on the same level and not put into categories according to what other ppl might think of their work.

    Threads with these such word attempted to be posted in auction threads ect will be closed,because although the words have been filitered memebers of the forum can still imagine what they are meant to say and hence categorizes yours and other members auctions.

    Draven so does that means you cant say --- tags in your auction thread or Highest ranked tag, or --- (I hit the minus key thrice).

    Then why not institute GR's OWN ranking system?

    It'd be 70x's easier.

    Because as everyone knows, we have no desire to have a ranking system here on GR, not now, not ever.

    in response to what DraveN said about "gamerenders is a site that supports learning and sharing not only gfx but other things also", then selling tutorials wouldn't be an option, it would be free for everyone, but I think that's an institution that will never leave GR.
