Icon Issue*urgent*

    okay well i got on my parents accoutn and they had a illustrator icon on there desktop and when i logged on it looked all right but once i click on it....it changed its apperance to the default (No icon) icon...i really need help i tried everything to chnage it back even a program called

    the icon file type is a .ai file for illustrator

    IconChanger...but it didn't work

    i need someones help i dont mind if its a program that chngae the icon look i just need it to chnga ethe icon back to normal...

    lol, gotta love kids who login to parents accounts, screw something up, then ask other kids who have done the same thing how to fix it... Here's what I would suggest:

    It didn't work

    when i got to step six and did what it said...it just refresh the desktop and the icon still looked the same

    Link to the application!

    It'll be found in C:/Program Files/Adobe/Illustrator, or summin close to that. I've personally never ----ed up my parents account, since they don't have admin, and I do. XD. Then, in the shortcut menu, link to illustrator.exe or whatever it is.

    it didn't work...like heres what it does...when i find the icon then click ok on it...it shows that it chngaed it but once i go to the file it self it looks the same.....

    Have you checked under your 'programs menu' itself to see whether the correct icon is showing ...if its is just delete the desktop icon and create a new shortcut icon from the program menu.

    Or go to C:/Program Files/Adobe/Illustrator -> find illustrator.exe -> right click -> send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)

    Then delete the old one, and voila.
