isnt der a thread for games? well some people still think video gams are for geeks which is just stupid. They are played by so many people of different ages etc. However i suppose there are good and bad points to everything.
Eh, so what if people are addicted. It's a fun game, don't get me wrong being too addictive is alright cause it's not, But really playing 2-4 hours a day isn't that bad. And theres a report that most gamers are smarter then non-gamers in certain subjects.
Being addicted to video games is the same thing as being addicted to, say, being in the school play. Some may say the school play is healthier because you get to interact with people, but hey, just get addicted to an MMORPG, and problem solved! OK, bad analogy. But maybe you get the point.
WoW sucks like ive always said it ruins lives though ive been gaming for over 10 years i can say im addicted
Its their problem if they get screwed in real life. They're dumb losers, and should learn games are only meant to be played when you have nothing going on and some spare time. Real life comes first. I only play CSS when Im not school, working, volunteering, playing basketball, handball, or squash, working out, hangin out with friends, and partying. They need to learn real life comes first. What the ---- is a game gonna do for you in life.
In my humble opinion, its fine to be addicted to games as long as you don't let them RULE your life. That's just bad. I play 2-5 hours a day, but I still manage to do my homework, go outside, hang out with friends and the like. Always in moderation? Yeah.
See, that's why parents should... oh, I don't know, control what their kids do all day? Jesus, if your kid just gained twenty pounds last month and racked up 40 hours a week on the internet, it's time to pull the plug.
It really does. It did to me. I gained like 20-30 pounds and lost a friend or two... but now that I quit, I've got my life back on track
I'd rather play something like Guild Wars, not have the same level of addictiveness, and NOT pay a monthly fee.
i used to be addicted to a certain game. MOH:Rising Sun. Played it all the time and was one of the best if not the best players in the UK and could hold my own amongst the top players in the US (which was where i played with my US Clan). It got to the point where i was not turning up to football practice and then work to play the game or if i had a important clan match. Eventually though the game died down and i just stopped playing my PS2 all together. Now im here doin GFX (Sometimes) and just enjoying life alot more than i used to.
