You haven't looked at the iPod?

I don't know much about the Gigabeat, but I was playing with a Zune at a store the other day, and I was amazed-- after selecting a song, that little thing actually had the nerve to ask me if I was sure I wanted to play it. So then I started a video playing and it froze after a few seconds into it. Maybe this display Zune just had bad luck, but still. You'd think a company with that much money could ship DISPLAY products that work right.
    No surprises, though. Typical Microsoft.

yea ive looked at ipods and i dont like the fact that you have to buy am fm tuner. both the gigabeat and the zune have one built in. i think the zune is pretty much a newer version of the gigabeat.

look at the Sandisk Sansa. Depends on the size you want (highest is only 8gb) but it has a built in fm tuner which you can record from (only in the us mind) It also has a built in microSD card slot so you can add an extra 2gb in memory)

Yeh, the Sandisk Sansa looks also good to me. I'm using my phone's mp3 for now, working like a charm. It has even radio on it!

What are you talking about. First, you don't get a FM tuner, and secondly, you pay extra for the branding. That said, I have a 5G iPod. Go for whichever one is cheaper.

Please do not recommend the worse mp3 player on the market.

Gigabeat for the win. Zune is DRM locked to ZuneStore and only plays mp4s.

Haha, wrong? Only plays mp4s? What the ----? So all the 6,000+ songs (none of which bought from the ZuneStore), none of which are mp4, still magically work? How about the 6 TV shows I have on mine that are .wmv? Oh, guess you forgot about those.
