We can dismiss global warming as another 'we're all going to die "fad"', given that the millennium bug was overhyped. Did you have any evidence with which to back up such a wildly unsubstantiated claim or am I missing something?

Alright, the human race is unlikely to face extinction in the next 100 years as a direct result of global warming, but that doesn't mean that it is an issue we should ignore. Your attititude seems typical of someone whose ignorance has led them to the wrong conclusions.

Please prove me wrong with a worthwile reply.

Did I ever say it was something we shouldn't worry about? I just said it was over hyped(which it is) and that the human race is not going to be destroyed because the ice glaciers melt.

The probability that the human race will be eradicated within one hundred years is low, but my impression is that the threat of global warming seems to be played down in the media for the most part and the general public consensus seems to be something like: "oh it can't be that bad if the temperature only rises by a few degrees and the sea gets a bit higher" - an attitude which is frankly, appalling.

the world wont die all living things on it might but the world wont for ages.

unless of some freak explosion etc.

if we dont do naything about global warming it is still predicted that we will live for at least i think another 150 years. and thats if we do nothing.

already countries are taking initives to stop global warming so i dont see life ending anytime soon.

as for the second part i believe a base on the moon has already been planned to be built i think it was 2032 but i could be wrong.

I personally think its a problem, but I dont think it is as big as it is made out to be.

Hell scientists arent even sure if we are the cause for global warming.

Its also been proven that the earth goes through a process of warming and cooling every so often. Just because weve just figured it out, its a big effin deal. If it was really that big of a deal, the government would be forcing us to take action against it.

Yes some nations are, and we are not, but still.

people are afraid of death, in any form or fashion. If you say you arent, then Ill call you a liar.

We could all end, anyday. Some freak explosion or something could happen and their goes earth.

Things like this wouldnt get all hyped up if people werent afraid of death.

I think the world will eventually end...but not within 100 years. That is soon! Maybe a few hundred years. But Global Warming will not kill everyone....just anyone withing like 300 miles of a shoreline. That is because all the glaciers and what nt would melt.....but it would not cover the entire Earth.

Ya, that is what I said...I think it will be about like another 300-500 years before the world "Blows Up".
