YES!!!! get a ..well some would argue the ATI-Radion9600 or higher (what i use, it was able to handle farcry w/o much sweat) and others would say Nvidia G-force (which i have used b4 and have been happy with)
I suggest you buy the best graphics card you can with your money, because it will last you for years.
What about this one • Processor and Memory: • AMD Athlon AthlonTM TM XP 2800+ processor • 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory (expandable to 2GB) • L1 Cache = 128KB • L2 Cache = 512KB • Two 184-pin memory slots (one available) • Hard Drive and Multimedia Drives: • 120GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive • CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive 48x32x16x48x max. speed • Audio, Video, and Graphics: • Integrated audio, 6 speaker configurable • Integrated graphics with 64MB shared video memory
Well, I have an AMD Anthlon. It was top of the line type of stuff 3 years ago. AMD computers do work pretty well. You might want to upgrade the video card though. I had to upgrade my video card and put like 256 more RAM in mine.
Here are my suggestions. + Get an Athlon64. I have the 3500+, and it runs faster than the Intel 3.4 Extreme Edition. + Get at least 1GB of memory. 2GB is a lot, and expensive. But 1GB is necessary. + For your graphics card, get at least a GeforceFX 5700 or the Radeon 9200. You will need it.
to what he said Athlon64 -hmmm..well if you don't mind gettin programs for it! and also im not sure what the windows situation is with that.. Get at least 1GB of memory. 2GB is a lot, and expensive. But 1GB is necessary. ^^ thats kindof true, but i'd suggest getting 2 gb OR making sure you can upgrade to that later. get at least a GeforceFX 5700 or the Radeon 9200. You will need it. ^^ very true, but i'd go with Radeon 9600 or above or a Gforce 4 or above, just to be safe.
1. Athlon64 works with all 32-bit programs currently in existence, and is programmed to work with all future 64-bit programs. All operating systems function perfectly on it, including Windows XP 64-bit Edition, which I have. 2. Naturally, you should have room to expand, always. But 1GB is definitely good enough for right now. 3. GeforceFX is better than Geforce4. LOL
Not realy true , when you got the best of the best after 1 week there is even a better one on the market.
omfg! if i had enough $$ to get a comp like that.... my curent grafix card is soooo bad that i cant see MC's color in halo!
Okay every1 is confusing me here lol alright im on a budget cause i dont have ajob anymore i have this lil piece of crap computer at home [ at g/fs ] i'll give specs when i get home and it works str8 but i'd lyk a better computer so if someone sum up wht every1 said....
