well theres this kid in my clan who claims that his Amd athlon X2 is better then my C2D.

he bases this off of a cnet review.

so what im asking of you guys is to post as many resources (benchmarks, reviews, etc) on why the C2D currently IS better then any AMD X2 on the market.

i will give sum creds to those who are most helpful.

*hint xelink this is your time to shine :P*

*double hint johndapunk u better post too :D*

I'm not posting a link, but I think you can get a budget build with an AMD Athlod X2, like £300 and under, but at £500 and over, you're better off starting to get a E6300 etc.

it has a better bus system and an integrated memory controller.
that gives it a huge memory bandwidth advantage.

c2ds have a lot more l2 cache which negates the need for bus/memory bandwidth.

all in all, x2s only really win in a few memory centric benchmarks and real world performance goes tot he c2ds... also in most other benchmarks, the c2ds rape the athlons, almsot to the point where people don't even think it's accurate.

will add mroe later, i have school soon
