    Well i Have a OLD matsui TV...
    I think the model is I408 R

    And the Brightness And Contrast Levels Are FKED!

    I need to fix them and i have lost the remote.... any ideas!?

    Did a bit of research... you're pretty much screwed on this one. If you really want to fix it that bad, here's what I would suggest. Buy a universal remote. Not only would this solve your problem of not being able to fix your brightness/contrast, but it would also solve your problem of not having a remote. So, you took care of 2 problems with one solution w00t! You can find a universal remote for around $10. Just make sure it has a menu function so you can access all the contrast functions and such.

    Negative... Each remote has it's own frequency/wavelength etc... Therefore, your other TV remote is preset for that specific television set. The way a universal remote works is it allows you to program the frequency, so you can use it with virtually ANY tv...

    i sdont have hte money for one. What ifi could ecit the frquency( take apart a old remote )

    Nope... sorry m8. The only way to do this is to buy a new remote...

    if you have another matsui in your house... that remote may work. but otherwise u are gonna need a uni remote like peanuts said
