Okay, so I want to render the following picture of Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, however I always have problems when rendering hair. It always comes out choppy and stupid looking. So I want to know what I can do to make it look nice like a prem render. I tried using my pen tool in photoshop to see if that would make a diffrence, but my pen tool is all messed up and does some really weird things.

Any advice or ideas on what I am doing wrong, or how to do it the right way so it's like a prem?

    Thanks
    Tifa

    Here is the pic.

i'm not an expert render but i do know that since the image is blurry its gonna look f-ed up when you render it with just a hard line. your gonna have to render it as best as you can with the blurred lines your given and then add a slight feather to make it look like the blur transitions to transparent so it will work
