I decided that i want to teach people html, step by step, gradually building from the basics. let's begin Lesson 1 tag=<> start tag=<attribute> end tag=</attribute> the information (text, pics, etc go inbetween the start and end tags) almost every attribute must have a start and end tag Open up notepad and go to file save, choose a file name and save it as .html. Now open the internet file and let us begin scripting Note: the notepad that you used to make the html document is no longer needed. open the html doc, right click and select view source. In order to add/subtract things from the site. When you change the notepad information, just save the file and click refresh on the internet browser so the page will be updated. every site should be comprised of these tags: <html> <head> <title> </title> </head> <body> </body> </html> all information goes inbetween the two body tags ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- add a title after the first title tag example: <title>Practice</title> this just puts the title of the page on the blue bar at the very top of your internet browser. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- tags that you will be learning for this lesson: </p>paragraph(adds a space between information) </br>break(basically like enter) italic bold underline <center></center>center <p align=right></p>align information to the right <h1></h1>headings, you can insert numbers 1-6...1 being the biggest text. <font face=(name of font)></font>change font <font color=(color name)></font>change color of font Note: text is left aligned by default never intertwine tags:example= <1><2><3> </1></>2</3> this is the wrong way to do this...here is the right way <1><2><3> </3></2></1> feel free to experiment with the tags that's all the tags for this lesson, the following is a practice with all of these tags in it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <html> <head><title>Sapphire Blade Is The Best</title></head> <body> <font face=impact><font color=blue><h1><center>SBlade Is The Best</center></h1></font></font> <center>SB is the greatest person ever, he is never mean, and he always eats his veggies lol.
