    Comments above...

He wanted other players besides ipods newbies :D

I got my 30GB zen vision:M and it rox - Sleekk and sexy

If you want to go up the zen vision:W will impress you - But the :M is awesome - Plays formats which the ipod video dont play [Formats: divx, mpeg, avi & jpeg & mp3,wma] includes a radio, recorder, and also acts as a usb storage device [not sure if ipod got that]

Ipods = over rated & is whored nonstop - If you want to stand out get something different than a ipod which millions got already - Few people got something different from a ipod including me ;)

The iPod is good, but if you aren't to big on that..try out the zune. My friends have one and the screen is awesome. Good battery life, and obviously plays music.

If you choose iPod, always use this formula: iPod Video 30gb > iPod Nano (in general). For 10-50$ more, you get about 20gb more and video playback.

i love my ipod, but its so ----ing slow but maybe its cuz i have 5000+ songs
other than the ipod i would reccommend something from creative, or look for one of those chinise made ones on techcrunch. those seem like a good deal :)

Oh another advice, never ever buy ZUNE!! They cannot play any DRM songs other than the Zune Store.

Here is just my suggestion, A new mp3 came out a bout a month or two ago called the cube. I bought one for 40 quid (about 75 USD) and has worked purfectly, 1 Gb but the main selling point is how tiny it is "0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 inches"

    similar version.

probably not as good as the Ipod but if your looking for something usefull and very affordable I would recommend it

If you want good battery life, the iPod wouldn't be the best choice in my opinion; and if you are getting an iPod the 30 Gig Video is probably the best value considering the Nano is expensive for the features it has, and by the time you fill an 80 gig iPod, chances are that it would have died. (These players don't last more than 2 years unless you take extremely great care with them.)
I own both an iPod video (30 gig) and an MP3 player, obviously the iPod is better, the sound quality is amazing, but you need to think to yourself if you really need the extra space and if you have the money to purchase one.
Furthumore, if you are purchasing an iPod, you might want to spend extra money on a new set of earphones; as I felt they get uncomfortable after an hour or so of listening to music.

(By the way, not sure if it is only where i live, but the 8 Gig nano is the same price as the 30 gig video, which is why I feel the 30 Gig video iPod is the best value. Just to back up what I said earlier.)

@ Pig - The space shouldn't matter actually, I've filled up my iPod, you need to run Disk Defrag on it, just as you would do to a normal hard disk on your computer, you will find that it will be alot faster after doing so. ;)
(I've seen topics that give you furthur information about it on this forum; can't remember where.)

ipods are overrated, but there user-friendly and nice. i have a 30gig video and a 80gig video. i got the 80 cause irs the biggest one on the market, that im aware of. if you want one a little cheaper, the 30gig zen is a good one to.
