hey, my friend forgot his password to his ipod and was locked out for days. He looked for an Ipod Reset Password Code, but there was none.
(NOTE: ALWAYS RIGHT DOWN YOUR PW)

Well he brought it to me, and I looked for awhile for an overide code and i found none.

    So what i did is:

    I opened iTunes
I clicked on the Ipod part of the iTunes
Then I clicked Restore or Reset Ipod, it asked me if i was sure and I clicked yes.

This will clear away the password along with your pics and music.

It might not be the best way, but at least you can get back to your Ipod :)

this is the obvious but some people don't know what to do so i posted this for you guys :)

This works for all versions of ipod that can have a password (nano, Video, etc.)

If you need itunes go to google and search it, I might post some links or maybe even a video.

Thanks for reading and enjoy :)

That actually tells you before you set your password.

I honestly see no need for any one to put a password unless your trying to hide all that porn video you got on it.

no there is a good reason for a password, because there are a lot of mean people out there that will steal your ipod, so you want them to not be able to use it, and most of those people won't visit GR....or any other intelligent board.

and i never knew that it told you because...well..i dont own one i just know about them because my friends come to me when ever they need help with there ipod :)

Yeah... okay, this may help a few people, but I had experienced so much crap with my iPod in the first few weeks, I've restored it so many millions of times that I sent it back and got a new one. But yeah, restoring on the computer pretty much solves most of the problems.

heres something most iPod owners already know, hence it says right next to the button to reset (Factory Settings). And the password isn't really needed, if your completely careless and just leave it anywhere then thats your fault. Be smart and keep your ipod with you.

    lmfao

it is so obvious to erase the previous firmware and restore the ipod if you lose your password man, thats common sense.

and if someone steals your ipod, they can easily just restore the ipod like you said and it is theirs.

dont even waste time with a password

I wish there was a way to reset an iPod without the use of iTunes... Is there?
