This is a direct quote from a blog on gametrailers(i could have wrote everything myself, but i am too lazy, and this guy summarized(sp?) it good).
1. blu ray isnt winnign last time i checked from the end of year reports hd dvd was in the lead but not by huge difference. 2. heavenly sword has been moved back (shame really cause i wanted to play at the ps3 launch) Im glad that sony are turning things around seems by march i will have all three consoles so its good interest for me and other gamers (not fanboys)
It's for the better. The extra time will probably be used to polish the game and add some new kontent.
There's some bad news though, PS3 ISO loaders is on its way according to digg and I'm all for backing up your games but I don't think that people will be doing that...
I say still shame on them, it's still almost 4 months. I wouldn't believe anything they say until I see it.
Toshiba just made an HD-DVD capable of holding 51 GB, that is one GB more then a Blu-Ray Disc HD-DVD has the backing of the Porn industry which sales 100:1 to a regular movie, if you dont understand, that means that for every one regular movie like kill bill or v for vendetta, there are 100 different porn movies. They are making hybrid players, that can play both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray There is no Format-War
Blu Ray Refute Claims of Porn Ban http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/news/show/...Def_Release/437 Okay...
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/01/25/1931248 According to that, Blu-Ray players arent selling very hot. Neither is HD-DVD, but HD has sold 100,000+ units not tied to a console, blu-ray only 25,000 Also, since PS3 doesnt support the 200 GB model, you comment is moot to the whole argument.
Actually,it isn't. 200 GB Blu Ray discs aren't going to be used for atleast 5 years. I just said that BD can have 200 GB,because you said that HD DVD can have 51 GB of space. By the way,the standard for BD movies is 50 GB.
Yea exactly, for the same price as a PS3 you get a 360 and the HD-DVD. Most people wouldnt even have blu-ray players if it werent for the PS3. Thats why so few people have bought the add-on, also they dont mention up converter players. So why would someone run out and buy an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray when they can just buy a DVD Player that up converts to HD? I have one and it works great. Also people like me who love movies and collect them as a hobby, I have 100 different dvd's that Ive just been buying here and there over the past 2 years. Im just now getting a job so I only have 100 becuas they either come from when I get presents or just from random money spending. I dont wanna go spend all my money buying the Blu-ray/Hd-DVD versions of all those movies.
1 you're forced to buy it whether you like it or not 2 HD-DVD has a ebtter compression algorithm 3 HD-DVD holds most fo the european and American markets 4 M$ backs HD-DVD, justbecause a bunch of smaller companis back somethign doesn't mean that M$ can't push it on us, all they have to do is disable blu-ray in their operating systems... 5 HD-DVD is easier to pirate. 6 HD-DVD is cheaper to make 7 blu-ray has slower read speeds than DVD
No offense but i think Balthier just pwned KO Buck in a fanboy battle! LOL great news for sony...now if they would just tell us exactly when ff13 comes out id be a happy camper
Who said I was a fan-boy? Im not I dont have the money for a PS3 right now, or else I would probably own one. I already have a 360 and love it to death. Im just saying I dont think blu-ray will win.
