Yes, that's exactly the point of this whole topic....

If Extraction is a Photoshop feature that you can use for your own advantage, why not to use it? The results are great if you know how to use it properly, and sometimes its impossible to render some images without it. For example, that image Huy-N posted: Would take ages to cut it with the Pen Tool/Polygonal Lasso Tool...

It just pisses me off when people post such things like "I hate extract renders, takes no skil bla bla bla..." :censored:

Honestly, I think mods should warn or even fine who posts such things.

I agree, especially with that last part.

This site was created for RENDERS, that's why it's named GameRenders. How someone does a render shouldn't make a difference in anything.....they are contributing to the community just like someone who didn't use the Extraction Tool. Someone saying "I hate extract renders, takes no skil bla bla bla..." should be fined because that's just spamming the site and not giving any feedback to the person who did the render.

idk about everyone else but I think the extraction tool is a great way to cut out images. I also like the quick mask tool.

Some interesting points ..

So people actually dont like "Extracted Renders" , hmmm weird .

Well game"RENDERS" is what the site is all about , so i say use what ever technique you can to produce awesome results .

I dont want to start making rules that warn people saying that their not allowed to say "I hate extract renders, takes no skil bla bla bla..." , as i think we have enough rules throughout the forum .

If it gets out of hand then i`d be happy to look into it .

filter>extract is a good way to get special effects. I would never do hair or another part of a render w/ it though. I think it takes too long. I use the pen tool for all my rendering. The only good thing about filter>extract is that you can grab 1 color from the image. Like if you have really hard glowing light things. That's when you'd use it.

Filter > Extract.
I don't use that extraction method though.
