I have a 40 gb drive as my main one, and then a 160 for like files like games and all.. so when i wanna burn a movie, i need like 4 gb to make a image, and it uses my main drive, and i got like 1 gb left so im like ok ill just delete some stuff from it. So i try but i cant find anything. I kno windows takes a couple of gigs, but i still should have like 20 left. I dont know where all that stuff went. What can I do? I cant install windows on the 160 drive cause i dont have a windows CD
look in the program files, of the program you use to burn DVD's cause it make be storing the temp image files of the DVD and those can add up quick....
Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs Look for some programs that you don't use anymore that are taking up a lot of space and uninstall them. Since you are burning movies, they are usually stored in the root C:\ directory. Check and see if you forgot about one, maybe that's taking up some space.
did, most of the stuff is stored on my G drive anyway, But the C drive acts as the main one cause windows is installed on it. but again it only has 40 gb
Crapcleaner. This will help you out big time. http://www.ccleaner.com/ Btw marforce I like your 2nd sig.
Well before Nero can create an Image (.img) or ISO file, it will use the Audio_TS & Video_TS folders of the DVD. Maybe those files have been pilling up in your main partition somewhere, that's why your running out of space. If you already have all your image files of DVD's then look for those folders and delete them.
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp Clear the folder out along with Temporary Internet Files, cookies, history etc... It would be better to run a cleaner program if you don't know what you're doing, rather than doing it like that.
