that's bull---- right there, thewy're letting u download itunes on windows computers, that's enuf there but why should apple itunes songs go on different type Mp3 players? Making itunes completely for ipod increases the sale of ipods alot, and if itunes is illigle in norway, then who cares. It's like drinking alcohol-u cant drink till your 18/21 in the us, and cant till like 16ish in other countries. Different parts of the require different laws.

Well, right now iTunes isn't illegal in Norway either, but it will be if they don't fix this by September. If they did that though, it would mean that it would also be un-copyright protected, and I think they would unprotect it for everyone, not just Norway, which I would love. I'm trying to get all my stuff legal now, and my little brother was going in half with me through iTunes, but then he got a Zen, so now I'm having to pay for the full thing cause he can't put it on the Zen, so he doesnt wanna put his money into it

You guys understand what this suit is pertaining to, correct? It isn\'t saying that because iTunes only works with iPods, that is illegal; it is saying the songs you buy have DRM licenses that are illegal in Norway and in other Countries. That is clearly a crime, there is no bitching to be said about Norway, it is a law, and Apple must follow it.

In the United States, and in other countries, I can see why it is fair for Apple to do this. It is the consumers job to know what they are buying, and know that they can\'t play songs from the iTunes Store on any non-Apple production. It\'s just a law that Norway felt like should be in place to protect there citizens from this.

John is right. This has nothing to do with the IPOD. It has to do with the Music Store itself.

Sure the music store fits along nicely with the IPOD, but it is just a music store nonetheless.

Now, if Apple made it so ONLY IPOD owners can use ITUNES, thats different then.

Too bad I don't live in Norway. I want the 100+ songs I bought on iTunes to be able to be played on something other than my iPod.
