I'm sure it is, however, I haven't heard any reports of it.

I dont think so.. Because its not windows plus even if it did happen theres nothing the virus can do.

If the computer is connected to anything, or pulls information from a particular spot on a hard drive to boot, its capable of getting a virus. Generally speaking though you won't have a person going into a console bios setup to load in a malicious boot script, so generally its fine, as for the browser vulnerabilities, I am sure it can access sites that may try to input malicious script onto your console, but for that to happen someone would have to make the script and make it Wii accessible, and going through the trouble to most people wouldn't make it worth it in the end.
Ever heard of a mac, linux, lindows, and the numerous other operating systems that all have viruses? As for the virus doing nothing, it could make your bios chip incapable of booting the console, hence the console wont work.

I'm sure its very unlikely, seeing as its using the opera browser (I think?) its pretty secure so I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. Also I expect there will be some way for nintendo to roll out updates if there is viruses found.

There's nothing the virus can do? How about have it wreck your $250 investment. Make it unable to boot up.

And like Dementia said, a computer doesn't have to be running Windows to have a virus.

anything can, buit it's highly unlikely since I'mmsure tha the wiis along wioththe other consoles are
A psuedo-virus proof due to using custom OSes
    B unlikely to be targeted
C likely have a lot of restraints on their OS.

and agian any piece of electronics can get a virus

and on another note it's rpetty easy to fix, jsut erase the bitch by reinstalling the operating system. very few viruses can actually harm components and this si doen by having it destroy the harddrive and perhaps an optical drive.

    wii's dont' have HDDs

It probably can get viruses if you download the right things.

And like Dementia said the script on the virus would have to be programmed to access the wiis

Before you just gave all the hackers the idea of making viruses directed to little kids -> Nope

After you just gave all the hackers the idea of making viruses directed to little kids -> Yeah, now they're gunna be mainstream.
