not quite, he surrendered a bottle that contained a hidden compartment that " contained residue and a pungant aroma that of marijuana."

    http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...4/1049/SPORTS02

what do you think the NFL/ Atlanta falcons should do?

personally i think hes a loser, he claims to be the "leader" of a team yet consitantly gives the fans and the atlanta organization the shaft. first he gives his own fans the finger then this, for sumone who is the 3rd highest paid athlete in North America you would think he would have the smarts to stay out of trouble.

there are already talks he will be (if not already) placed in the NFL substance abuse program, which requires athletes to be randomly tested throughout the season and offseason as well.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: the test results came back and the substance was found NOT to be that of Marijuana and it was also found to not be an illegal substance.

will post more info when i find it.

    Mike Vick is my boi

I wore his jersey yesterday to school, and now im pissed lol.

He does like to showboat, but thats only because he is he is good enough and capable enough to do so.

He does lead the falcons imo besides dunn.

His ability to run the ball also makes him such a great QB beacuse if hes in a tight spot, hes able to get out of the pocket and go for some yards.

But I think hell get a hefty fine, and maybe a suspension. But he i too valuable for them to let him go. Theyd bail him out.

Couple of things I feel like pointing out here.

    1. The Falcons do badly each year because the entire team as a whole, not just because of Vick, underachieves. They can't catch a ball when it's thrown right at them, their D is supposed to be one of the best with the players they have and yet, they don't impress. It isn't all Vick's fault, most of the blame can lie on the rest of the team as well.

    2. Vick's running ability isn't always a great asset. He relies on it way too much and he's too quick to pull the ball down and run with it. Sure, it's electrifying and gives us something to rave about, but it doesn't make him a great or even good QB.

    3. He carries himself as if he's entitled to the world because of his natural abilities. However, he's done nothing to give himself the prolonged fame he's gained. His passing statistics, which last I checked were pretty important for a QB, are nothing spectacular and are no better than average. His leadership skills are also lacking a bit, leaders don't flip the bird to home fans after a bad loss, leaders also don't get caught with a water bottle containing a hidden compartment and marijuana residue/scent.

    4. He is overrated, like Blazeman said. However, I put Marcus in an entirely different boat. Marcus stomped on the leg of another player, Vick at least shows some form of respect to opponents.

As for the whole water bottle deal and what should be done with him, I say suspension and hefty fine if it is in fact found to be marijuana. All indicators so far, judging by press conferences by the Falcons GM, say that the Falcons will just slap him on the wrist and tell him to not be naughty. That's complete bull. Had it been Rodney White or Michael Jenkins caught with the water bottle, they'd either be released or suspended for a decent amount of time.

You said something about how Vick gave his fans the finger. Yes he did, but it was for a reason that anyone would get mad. His "fans" decided that they would boo and yell things at Vick because the Falcons lost. He did a great job that game and the fans just decide to take it out on him because hes the QB.
Anyway, im not a huge fan of the falcons but they arent my least favorite team. I dont really care what happens to Vick to be honest.

ok, lets say you are at your job, and a customer gives you crap you wouldnt flick them off or say F U, if you did you would prolly lose your job, but not vick he just got a "slap on the wrist"

and his brother is a joke, i wouldnt even put michael on the same level as marcus and i cant stand either of them.
    -------------------------------------------------------
only problem is, they wont know for a good amount of time wether or not the substance in the bottle is marijuana becauase

^ i honestly believe if it was anyone else they would have pressed charges already.
