I dislike it I don't like the game play that much and my crappy laptop can't hold how big the file is for the game.

And my biggest dislike is that its a monthly charge....

i dont play it and i dont hate it. but some of my friends are addicted. we had a lan, 3 of'em playing wow (small lan) and suddemly one of them stands up, raises one fist up high, the other over his chest, shouting " For the hord!". the other 2 joined in in the chorus, then I went around and started shouting something about the alliance, they looked at me strange

millions*, a little over 8 million world wide, and the upkeep of servers with the capacity of their servers it costs multiple thousands, if not tens of thousand dollars a month to keep each server up (and they have Euro, Japanese, American, and Oceanic servers, and over 20-30 realms on each, each realm has atleast 2 servers, and more than likely closer to 10+).

Its not a suprising fee, if anything its remotely cheap.

And to answer your question, I love it, it doesn't run my life, but if I have nothing to do, I am almost definately on WoW rather than trying to hang out with friends (my friends mostly play as well, so I can generally just talk to them in-game and decide if we wanna go do something or not). If I have chores, work, dates, etc. then I won't cancel them for WoW (though, the first week I got it, I did take 1 weeks vacation from work... all by calling in sick and getting paid for it :$ lol)...

I got addicted, broke the addiction. Refuse to go near again.

Will probably join soon again because of BC though. Too many people discuss it around me and I feel like I need to go back.

I sat down and played on my friends character for a while one time. It's pretty boring in my opinion. Here's a fact that startled me: "World of Warcraft players make up 0.1% of the world's population". Considering the world's population is roughly 6,681,338,700 (and growing by 3 people every second) that means that there are currently 6,681,339 (rounded up) WoW players, and that figure is growing by 1 every 5 minutes!

Straying off topic slightly, but do you know that someone is ALREADY level 70? He got there in 28 hours of solid playing after the expansion pack came out.

    Now that's not cool.

*goes and buys BC discs also* >_>

Hopefully I'll be able to play it without losing my social life if I do get it again.

I hate it, badly. Actually, you can say I hate just about all RPG's (except for Oblivion because it rocks).
