    well circut city has a couple good AMDs on sale this week, only around $700. u should check those out.

    i have a prity fast pc and i was rendering for ages nearly finished it then bam! it everything white and i couldnt see the picture anymore so i had to start again O_O

    if he gets an amd he has to get whole new ram and a motherboard aswell. and I dont think he wants too.
    Just get a pentium 4 about 2.2ghz and it will have l2 cache of 512kb.
