    Hey guys, just kinda trying to get started into rendering stuff, but I'm not sure what to get. I want to get Adobe Photoshop exclusively, what's the best version?

    Thanks guys,

    CS2 is the best version that I have used. It has the most features. But as mav said, its quite costly.

    PS CS and CS2 are the same rendering wise no extra tools but interface and high-end functions changed a little

    CS will hog less memory than cs2 - So if you got 512 and below dont get CS2

    I would recomend getting the free-trial of CS2 before you spend $600.00 on it. You can get the trial on the website of course.

    Dang... okay, I'll take a good look at this stuff first, probably CS2.

    How about 3Ds Max for 3d images? Anyone know about that as well?

    lol 3DSMAX is like $1000 :D

    Complex to use

    Maya = $4,999
    3DSMAX = $1000
    C4D - $500

    All prices are approx. but maya is $4,999 :D

    and is very hard to use - I doubt you got that much money to burn but ye :D C4D is the most manageable program

    Maya is a high-end 3D computer graphics and 3D modelling software package, originally by Alias Systems Corporation but now owned by Autodesk under its Media and Entertainment division. Autodesk acquired the software in October 2005 upon purchasing Alias. It is often used in the film and TV industry, as well as for computer and video games.
