Im a Celtic fan (but im from northern ireland). I think Beckham can help make football big in america yeah, although the americans reaction to him and "virginia" have been comical to say the least!

Most Canadians and Americans prefer violent sports like football and hockey. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against soccer but I don't think Beckham is going to have much of an impact.

I like american football better than "football" (soccer) it is more appealing and i cant watch a whole soccer match without getting bored. Its just how I am

i prefer soccer to american football because it is too much of stop and then start, there is no flow to the game, I watch american football alot thoughm whenever i can and i will definetly be staying up all night to watch the Superbowl

Huh? Why isnt that a valid reason? I support Tottenham and i support them because all down the line of my family we've supported them. I think its a really valid reason. I think you'll find a glory hunter is someone that ditches his team because they're not doing well in the table and go to one of the Top 3 clubs in the table. Thats the one thing that pisses me off. I dont think Beckham should've even gone over to america, if he dont make it big there he wont be taken seriously anymore as a footballer. But if he makes it big in the US then they'll learn the real meaning of Football, not 'Soccer'.

Well i know for a fact american football and baseball will always be the biggest sports in the US, and idk if any sport will become more popular in canada than the NHL already is. But it does seem like its becoming a bit more popular here in canada with taht Sinclaire chick who won canadian althete of the year for her efforts on the canadian womens soccer team. Apparently she did amazing but i dont really follow soccer so i wouldn;t kno too much.
