I'm with Alltel and they are really nice if you know what you want they are great .

I have a V3 Razor it only cost me 50 up front but i did the mail-in rebate and got 50 bucks off. And then i pay about 80 a month for:

    900 anytime minutes
10 numbers for my circle plan
Unlimited Texting / and Pictures sending and recieving
    Unlimited Internet

Which for me is exactly what i need for my phone.

Only flaw is I can't add space to it, it can only store 35mb..

No bother talkin about providers since I haven't heard of any of your american ones.

My phone: A Samsung t509s "Plum". Its a very rare phone, I ahvent met a single per son that has it, but it is AWESOME. Downside is, it's a little long. Longer than most phones. But it's very trendy, thin, etc. I <3 it.

Carrier, T-Mobile. Id get Cingular, but T Mobile appears to be cheaper.
