So it makes your PC go faster and play games better? My friend says overclocking screws your computer bad is that true
Overclocking wares down the hardware and the life-expectancy of the entire computer. And yes it can screw your computer if you dont know what your doing :blink:
If I don't have to buy more cooling, I'll try to boost this old computer. I don't think it's worth the credits.
If you dont think a personalized tutorial is worth the creds, that is your choice. But Im sure there are some oter people who think otherwise....
if you know what you're doing, and are reasonable with your expectations, this shouldn't be an issue. There are people still running athlon XPs on a 50-60% overclock just fine. IF youoverdo it, use inadequate cooling and overvolt to the point where electromigration becomes an issue, the life span of your components will eb lessened, but if you're moderate, the system will last long beyond functional obsolecence.
