Actually it really doesn't matter, when me and my friend used to play on a private server which was blizzard like servers and I always made a warrior and he was a warlock and he sucked really bad altho people say warlocks are good. Then he went to being a priest which was a perfect combination if you know some one who's a warrior and play with them all the time. It's pretty much up to you, but my suggestion would be make a human warrior.
Well, I have a 60 druid on a PvP server, I wouldn't recommend it though if you don't like to heal for raids. But for PvP, I would say a Warlock, that's what comes in my mind first, other than that, Hunter, Mage, etc. Anything is fun, as long as you know how to play them .
Well I'll say a paladin U got shield and heal so it's really nice Atm I play hunter so u can try hunter too -_-
If your just starting, dont do a PvP server, you'll get frustrated when you keep getting ganked in contested zones doing quests. Do a 'normal' server, and then level each class your interested in to level 20 (takes about 10-12 hours of played time approx.), and then stick with the one you like the most, and after you get to know the game well enough, then make your secondary character on a PvP server. You can still world PvP if your flagged (type '/pvp' in game) and ofc battlegrounds are also available on all servers, and are cross-realm. My first character on a PvP server I made when my 'main' was at about level 45-50, and it reached 60 before my 'main' (main being Warlock, currently 60, secondary being a Shadow Priest, non-raider, pure PvPer) mainly because I had a really helpful guild, but also because I <3'd playing a shadow priest. But if you REALLY insist on being on a PvP server for your first character id recommend... Enhancement Shaman, Fury Warrior or Beast Mastery/Marksmenship Hunter. No cloth wearers, and people who can hold their own if they have a slow response to an attempted gank.
well i picked to be a warlock as my first character and its on a pvp server, ive been luck that they only time ive been killed is when i purposly went to the other's team territory. when the new expansie come out im prolly going to start fresh because being a warlock kinda suks. idk i may change to warrior
There are really only 2 classes that are overpowered in the game, and 1 that I believe to be underpowered. The 2 overpowered classes are obvious, Hunters and Warlocks, both have extremely huge DPS, both have pets, and both have more than enough options and ways to do crowd control. The 1 underpowered class is also fairly obvious, the warrior. Its an EXTREMELY gear dependant class, and its talents really only shine with protection spec in raid gear. Even a full fury or fury/arms warrior in full epics from BWL will lose on average to a hunter, warlock or shadow priest in non-raid gear, not because they aren't skilled, just simply because they have to have such a high level of gear to really be effective at anything... Also, I dontk now your reasons for playing warlock, but I personally know, and I have heard on countless occasions, that people tend to hate warlocks (and shadow priests for the same reasons) from about 35-40 and above, as I did. They are just so mindless, its the same routine in PvE and generally in PvP as well (unless its world or 1v1 or dueling, then its sparatic, but in BGs its generally nothing special)... If your into the whole aspect of changing your style mid-fight and having to have alot of gear and know how to play your class, etc. then you should be a Druid, potentially a shaman, but moreso a druid (I have 1 of every class above level 20 except palidan). While the ability to rip your targets a new arsehole is fun, it gets really boring after a while, as most hunters and warlocks would say, and often times mages as well...
