    If that thing has enough gravity to form a crystal, I reeeeally dont want to see what it can do to a space ship. Thing is even if we could travel 50 times faster than the speed of light, it would still take a year to get there.

    far off in the distance, a hoe gets pimp-slapped by that thing... ouch.

    Right it's approximately 50 light years away from us. Given that the speed of light is 299,792,458m/s = 299792.458km/s and a light year is the distance light travels in a year (A measure of distance, not time). The diamond's distance away from us = 299792.458 x 60 = 17987547.48 x 60 = 1079252848.8 x 24 = 25902068371.2 x 365.25 = 9460730472580.8km.

    Stick that in your pipe and smoke it :)
