i have a problem with CSS everytime i try to connect a any servers.
it somes up as "game doesnt match server type please restart the game"
what does this mean

 

You probably have also cs 1.6 or other games and u try to connect to the server, that isn`t counter strike source.

be sure u try to connect to a counter strike source server.

maby you don't have the half-life 2...

becouse...

you need it becouse the CSS uses de Half-life 2 as base!

 

You don`t need to have got Half Life 2 to play counter strike source.

I`ve got account without Half Life 2 and i could play Counter strike source without any problem

Make sure you have auto updating for css enabled,
and restart steam. if that doesn't press (i gues) F12 and report it via that ingame menu to steam

my parents brought my comp into to put more a new motherboard in adn it came back with CSS on it i think it was a pirated version

 

Try uninstalling and reinstalling?

 

Or it could be that someone from the shop where you bought your motherboard have tested your computer on that game and after that they just leave a blank account and u thought the game was on your account .
