Well, i might get flamed for this but here goes. :P

I thought, due to the credits being so low, and Logicaly posting a topic as of why.

Why not just make one gamerenders store (Admin/mod) to sell credits, so the only way you can buy them is by going to the store and asking, i think the mod team is big enough to do this.

As for members getting credits, they can still get them from selling tags etc.

Just thought it might be bit easier, and you will have one rate, forever.

    People don't like it...They don't buy it.

Just a way to help GR, and the credits in opinion.

    Thanks for reading :)

But how about people that would like to sell their credits for $?
It's not a bad idea, as in, it would force members to purchase credits at a stable rate; but there are some grey areas to it.
Also there will be alot of credit selling under the table, which would be difficult to monitor, the staff already have enough on their hands as it seems.

Well, i was trying to figure something out for it.

Maybe they can sell as normal, but if they don't sell at the set price by an admin, there thread will get closed, if they keep doing it, suspended etc.

    Your ideas?

I think it's a great idea, but the mod team is too busy.

If people do credit deals under the table and get scammed, so be it, thats their fault.

The mods would do it non-profit buying 1k for $5, and selling 1k for $5 right?

    Thanks DraveN

It's mostly to help the community, and hopefully control credits more easier.

I didn't fully think it out, but some things will need slight tweaks if this falls into place.

I think it's a pretty good idea, it would also help the site in some way too

I personally like this alot, it makes all the credit whores here leave (and the admins monitor the credit logs EXTREMELY closely), and it makes it so that members can exchange them for tutorials, ownership rights, etc. like the website should be.

This also would make it so that the amount in the system wouldnt matter, since they would all be worth a static amount. Just add an item to the shop that allows you to input the desired amount, give you an end-total, and then sends you to the paypal site to send the cash... Also, we would have to stop members from selling any credits for this to be 100% functional, or members will also try to cut the system by means of selling for like 130:1 where were selling for 150:1, and virtually controlling the market, and keeping credit whores around.

The only issue being is how would we check to confirm that the cash was recieved? As only Shaggy can do so, and putting the credit buying on 1 person would be a huge hassle, and the site can't recognize when paypal recieves a payment and from which member, etc.

Wheras I do think this idea could work, I think it might be a bit hard to moniter member's trades. Like, if you banned all selling of credits (So that you could only get them from the store/where-ever) people could still sell credits, just not directly through GR, and it would be almost impossible to keep track of.

Most definetly. Instant messengers are very common now a days, and I know myself, I've started to communicate with many of the members from that site from there. By implimenting more rules on this site, more and more people find ways around them, or break them. It's how things always will be.
