Well i know some people who have home schooled. im thinking about it but there are some big negatives about it. ie less friends, no p.e., no field trips . Have you every been home schooled? Whats it like? what are the ups and downs? or if you havent been, how do you see home schooling? good bad would you go into it?.

the way i see home schooling is its good cuz its faster and easier since its practicly one on one with the teacher but then you dont get pe, bunch of friend, field trips, dances.

basically whats your opinion on home schooling?

    Pluses:
Better grades/GPA - Looks pretty for college applications
    More rest, free time

    Minuses:
Less of a social life. Your high school years are important, not just for grades but for social life as well. If you're homeschooled, you're just out of the loop. You can get out all you want, but you're pretty much out of it
Colleges expect more - you have it easy when you're homeschooled
Character - believe it or not, your character is shaped a lot in school. How you act, what you do, what you say, and who you talk to are all affected by that.

You're better off in public schools or even a private school.

well, in theory home schooling is rape compared to public schools, but in actuality it's pretty lacking. like, with public schooling not only do you learn acamemics, but you also learn how to function in society, and how and why people interact with eachother. even though it seems gay and you won't be able to get out soon enough, public schooling is such a better choice in my opinion.

well i have a friend thats home-schooled. he always complains that it sucks, and by the way he explains it, it kind of does. i do think though, that it depends on who schools you. i know that if it were my mom and dad to be teachers, id definitely let them school me. they are cool, and spending more time with them would be tight.

Public schooling is the best choice.

The biggest difference is just your social life. You don't really get to interact with anyone if you're home schooled, and thye friends you currently have will slowly go away since you're away from the scene.

i've had experience with home-schooling, and overall i'd say it's a better educational experience. it seems most of the negative aspects that other mentioned are focused on social interaction, or perceived lack thereof. however, i disagree with those who stipulate that public schools prepare you better for life in the working world. often, public and private schools are overly focused on image and outer appearance, social standing, etc. while this is fine for most, remember that in such a predatory environment, people are exposed to negative stereotypes and social pressures at the most crucial formative years of their life.

I would rather be home schooled; dont have to wrry about fights, drugs, sex, etc. Plus if you cant get a girlfreind/boyfriend but simply going out to the mall or whatever, then you don't need one :P

As of now I'm homeschooled and yes there are drawbacks like less socialization but there are public homeschool groups for homeschoolers to meet up every week or so.

as for the ups no fights and better quality education assuming for parent/cyberschool is well educated. And depending on the school district you may still be able to join field trips and sport teams.

I'm taking a course by correspondence (close enough to home school) and it's fine. So long as you have a good amount of motivation to get it done, you'll be good.
