Is it safe? Can someone explain me how it works please?
I was just making an account for me but it asked credit card number and even its safe code... After that, my dad didn't trust the site anymore and didn't allow me to create the account.
I am brazilian... the main money here isn't dollar, so that means I could only receive money from people right?
Thanks in advance for the help guys... Please post some good arguments that the site is safe so my dad will believe in me xD

    Is paypal safe

PayPal's proactive fraud prevention team works closely with law enforcement agencies to help stop and prevent people who perpetrate online fraud and to reduce risk of fraud and other illegal activities.

    How do I send money?

You can send money with PayPal by following these steps:

    Here's How:

Log in to your PayPal account.
    Click the Send Money tab.
    Fill out the form.
    Click Continue.
Review the details of the payment, including the Source of Funds. To choose another funding source for the payment, click the More Funding Options link and select your preferred funding source. To change any information, click Edit.
Click Send Money to send the payment. Note: If you edit your payment details, the funding source will return to the default method of payment.

Recipients receive an email announcing the payment. This email contains a link. After clicking the link, recipients can log in to their PayPal account to receive the payment. If the recipient does not have an account, they will be required to open an account to receive the payment.

Note: To provide the most secure service as possible, you may be asked to complete a Security Challenge. Simply type the characters you see in the image into the blank field, without spaces.

From paypal (Note:This is just a long version just to explain : / )

it is 100% safe, people use it all the time without problem.

You can get any kind of money, but you can only use the kind you have unless you find someone to exchange it for you :P

Hope you can get this worked out mate ;)

Paypal is VERY safe. I've been using it for about 4 years now, and never had any problems with security.

Thats what happens to me too...
They won't let me create an account just because of that credit card thingy :(
Why do they ask your credit card number and even your safe code anyway?

DO NOT listen to those who tell you that it is %100 safe.
They can freeze your account for no reason whenever they want and do what ever they want with your balance (happened with me and i lost $380) and anyone who sends you money can get it back easily in a few minutes (lost $280 that way) and they just take the money out of your account without asking you.

I never even verified my account fully. All I did was use a debit/atm card to get myself a spending amount until my parents trusted me enough to let me verify it with my bank account.
