Warcraft Error

    Ok when my friend trys to start warcraft he gets this error....

    "WoW failed to load 3D -something- please ensure you have installed DirectX 9.0. and your drivers are up to date

    He's tryed updating the drivers and direct x to no avail. Any ideas?

    lmao shush im too noob to be here. anyways, ive tried updating my drivers anyone got any idea of this problem?

    download direct x 9.0 and update to your latest video card drivers.

    Go to start>>run and type in DXDiag

    Click the 'Display' tab

    Test DirectDraw

    Test Direct3d

    and post the results.

    i dont use a laptop so i dont think that is the problem and ill try the dxdiag now.


    EDIT:
    And, once again i ahve updated my drives and gotten direct x 9.0.

    Yes, i have read everything and my chip is under the Supported coloum so i should be able to play.

    Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.

    You need better or new or final drivers. What video card do you have?

    Radeon 9700 he has.

    and it is under the supported coloumn for WoW supporetd vid cards.

    Try reinstalling wow if it was never working in the first place.
