You'd probly find that adding/upgrading you R.A.M would be the best choice for making your pc faster, alternatly it might be slow due to the harddrive being full or you having alot of malware on your computer to solve this you can re-format(wipe) your computer and start from scratch.

Or, another alternative, get a whole new computer (if it's ol). If you have the money, consider getting a C2D system, along with around 2 or 3 GB of ram. Mix that with a good mobo and it'll be a crazy fast system. Stick a nVidia Geforce 8800 in it and you're set for vista too. But like I said, it's expensive. If you want to get a new computer, I'll setcha a list together if you give me a budget. Also, if you want to, and have the money, wait a lil while and get K8l, AMD quad core system.

Wanna know how crazy expensive the quad-cores will be? Just look at the Kentsfield price tag, eh?

    1) Need a budget
    2) Need your specs.

Yeah, we can do nothing until we know that.

def. go with ram first. but make sure you know whats compatable with your mobo. 1 - 2 gigs of ram is rapidly becoming the standard in computing nowadays.

Also, if you buy another internal hardrive, move all media(music, photos, movies) over to your new drive. Your OS will run more smoothly and faster. 250 is a nice upgrade and some RAM will set u up fine. try www.newegg.com for good deals.
