This contains spoilers. This summer, you may seen the thrill of being a pirate! Or enjoyed been scared s***less from snakes on the plane! But, the one movie that will make you proud to be a man...or swedish is Beerfest. Be proud to be not that drunk! Ok so a pretty general overview of the whole movie is that two brothers, VonWolfssomething have their grandfather die and they have to take his ashes to Oktoberfest and meet a man who knows the place to rest their grandfather...long run on sentence. But when they get to site where their grandfather is to rest, they find themselves in a underground cult ceremony called Beerfest. There the brothers are horribly beat in a drinking contest against the German counter parts of themselves. But before getting beat, the head of the german family said that they had the recipe to the greatest beer of all time. The brothers of course had no idea what the recipe was or where. When they got back to America the brothers decided to train for a year and to regain their family's name. But before any training can begin they recruit some of their old friends from college to form their Beer Drinking team. Into about 8 months of training the team discovers the recipe to the greatest beer in a doll that their grandfather gave to them. So they brother brewed the beer and made a killing off. However, the germans were given a bottle of this beer from the brothers and went to America to take it back. There, the germans tried to pay them off for the recipe but didn't work. After about two more of training a secret agent sneeks into the team's bar and steals the recipe and kills one of the team mates. The team found out about the death and had a funeral...sappy moment. During the post funeral moments the team is meet by the team mate that died twin brother. Then they go to Germany for the final match. Being USA being the under dogs, the US fights their way to the finals between them and the Germans. Play all kinds of Drinking games, it seemed as though they were losing but made a come back for a sudden death match. The sudden match ended up a drink off to DAS BOOT!(The Boot) Here the Amercians loss because they secret agent told the twin brother how his brother died. But the Americans ask for a rematch and put the secret recipe up for stakes. The germans laugh thinking they had it, but they were soon told that it was a fake. So the rematch began with a ten boots being drank five for each team. And of course the Americans win barely by a drop of beer. Pros: A f****** awesome movie. The comedy was original and was perfect blend of crude and dirty. As far as acting goes, it was great. The germans talked with good german accents when speaking english same for the other Europeans talking in english. And when you have beer what makes it better? Boobs of course. A healthy amount of tits are present in this movie. From a chain reaction of shirts being ripped off...to sex scene in the barn...this movie as enough breasts for all of the men reading this. Cons: This movie had many sterotypes about Europeans being heavy drinkers and such. But what also bugged me was the amount of word schiess...my german spelling isn't that good, but even though they would talk in english they didn't say s***. I mean I understand that they mix german and english together but say s***. 8.5/10
I like comidies, but the broken lizard guys have never made a movie I liked and that kinda makes me nervous to see this.
Haha this movie is SO hilarious. I saw it in theatres but I was ----ed up and didn't remember anything. I saw it 2 nights ago and it was just really funny. This movie is a lot better if you're a beer drinker, but even if you're not, you'll still find the jokes hilarious. I'd say this is a must-watch if you like comedies.
