This has bothered me for a while my parents think all gamers are overweight and when I watch the MLG or something all the do is criticize about the players and the dieseases they'll have and that kind of stuff. Do we have overweight gamers of people who are over weight play games?I mean just because a fat person shops at wal-mart, can we now say all wal-mart shoppers are fat? And does anyone look at the pictures for console launches? Most of the people in line are well fit. you get the idea, I hope. sorry about the misspellings I'm kinda in a rush today
People live the way they want. That typically means doing what makes you happy. My dad wasn't happy when I decided to be a pilot. All he wanted to do was tell me the risks. (Mechanical problems, hijackings, ect...) But I enjoy flying enough to take that risk. Just like overweight people in general are willing to take the risk of a heart attack. Kinda got off track there. but to my point, if your overweight, I say, who the ---- cares? It's not my choice to tell you how to live your life. It's your own choice.
In my opinion, most gamers vary in size. If you play video games, eat right and are active outside, you should be fine. But lately, the majority of hard gamers are becoming overweight.
Well, I think a good amount of gamers are overweight, but I can't really make a assumption, seeing as how I haven't met ALL gamers. I think it is a mix of fit and obese gamers.
meh all depends. Some gamers are too slack too even get up and get something to eat, and i'm one of them (at times).. but, since i work out.. nothing too much, sit ups, push ups, chin ups and stretches.. its kept me well in shape.
Like the others said it varies, I know quite a few overweight gamers, but the rest are average like me, exercise regularly etc.
I totally disagree with him. I do a lot of gaming, I guess not that hardcore, but I'm still pretty into it, like 3 or 4 hours on a normal day, but I do a bunch of other crap too. I still play tennis after school(bunch of hot girls in short shorts, rocks), I play football, basketball, soccer, whatever. It all depends
I know allot of people from games, and actually none of them are fat. Even most so called "no-life" people aren't fat either. It's probaly cause most of them do sports or just have the ability that they dont get fat fast. It's probaly cause people only look at the few people who are fat and not looking at the ones who aren't.
Depends on how much of your time you put into gaming tbh, some people are built big and small so they come in variety just like average people I myself am not overweight at all, but playing sports and outside more than I am on the computer. The best thing to do is take breaks while gaming and at least twice a week to run about 1 mile... I run like 1 mile a day ...imo
Alot of gamers are over weight, alot of them play too much and dont get out enough, it can become a big problem and more and more stories are hitting the news of kids who are overweight and some who are dieing because they just do nothing play on thier console
idk. I would conisder myself a medi-core player I play in MLG tornies and such but I am never on it like 24/7 like some other people. I am good at video games but I dont let it consume myself (another reason I dont play WoW) But I excerise everyday. I rarely have time for video games cause I play Football and Track & Field. And in the winter all I do is run and weight lift to get strong for track and field. But I do play alot of video games at the same time. I am not overweight but I am not small. But eh..I dont know
Not all people choose to be overweight. Many factors besides taking in more calories than you burn, such as metabolism, family history (genes), etc. Everyone plays video games at some point in their lives, its not like they carry a "fat disease" or something.
Its quite possible a large numbers of gamers are overweight because thats all they do. They need to understand to go outside. The other half just play games a little bit just for fun , maybe an hour a day. I play basketball, run track, play squash frequently with friends, work-out 4-5 times a week, and play Counter Strike : Source. Its just fun when there is nothin better to do. People need to understand its not first priority and its a last resort
