I don't think 60% does... but thats not the point, if she asked people to vote for the one they thought was best not hers is what I meant.

.Shawn did you see the results for that poll. She had like 70% of votes coming from gamerenders. That extreamly unfair to the other people playing that game. It cheating. I mean I can understand asking 1 person to vote for you. But that was unfair.
Don't deny it. They're isn't much way to justify theses vote for me topics.

    The topics shouldn't be allowed.

Ps: I have nothing against kirbir( we are infact friends), she's just a good example.

But other people can do the same? And she don't said VOTE FOR ME!

And that her work was the best then she got votes, i don't see anything unfair in this, she get just people to vote to have more chance, that all.

    Gac.

Ok well put urself in the others envolved in the polls position, would you be pissed off if someone only beat you because they had pretty much the whole of another site voting for them even though they had no real opinion on the actual compitition. Also Gamerenders is a official site, its well known and has a great reputation and is also well liked by other sites because of its rules. Sites like Gamewallpapers actually asked Gamerenders to change its rules and ban selling there accounts here because they lose out on money and in some ways this is simular. Its not just about whether it affects me, it also affects others and sometimes you cant just think of yourself. In the Battle rules (at gamerenders) you are not allowed to ask people to vote for you. That rule should apply for every poll including ones off this site.

That makes a lot of sense. GR allows people to take renders off the site etc. And how would the site loose money if the account is already bought and paid for? The only person who would loose money is the person who bought the account.

In the Battle rules (at gamerenders) you are not allowed to ask people to vote for you.

I'm sure people never do this.

    ---

I agree it's wrong in some ways, but thats what happens in an online environment.

And seeing seeing as this is based around a community, then the person who hosted this contest should think about how many possible voters are out there.

So please, don't complain about something that happens sooo often.

Apex ppl that have lots of friends or know alot of ppl call them "Influential ppl" if u will, will use that to their advantage, it happens in the real world, and it'll happen in these "little contests" life aint fair, why should these contests be any different?

so kirbir is just wanting to win so she asks she does not demand she asks ppl to vote

we're not robots and do what we're told we have a free mind to choose for ourselves

Um did you see the end results for that poll?

    No offensce to kirbir.

But helping your freind win something that that buy having alot of people voting. The topic was over 5 pages long so clearly alot of people did vote. That like saying your in a graphics battle, and the other person has tons of people from another forum come to this one vote and they win by a landslide. I understand life isn't fair. But they're a difference from asking for a little help( just a few people) vs having about 30 people voting without actually reading what the poll is about.

I understand we keep using kirbir as an example, but ther'ye have been many other of these contest.

Some people in that poll, but there time in effort into there stuff. Nobody looked at all of it. They just voted for somebody as popular as kirbir asked them to. Sure she didn't say "VOTE FOR ME" but almost everybody in that thread did vote for who she said to. Same with all the other topics.

So sure a little cheating is alright. But thats some serious cheating (like cheating in hi-school, or on a poll).

So yes, I do support .Apex idea in banning these kinds of threads. They're frankly not helping anybody but the person who is posting it(even if its for their freinds).

If they're that despirte for votes they should just do it on msn. Instead of posting on a site as big as gamerenders.

Ps: Yet again i'd like to say i have nothing against kirbir we're freinds. But she's a prime example of this.

exactly the point she asked ppl to vote for but she did not demand it

ppl that voted for her chose too, that means ur denying ppl to vote, if they wanted to vote for kirbir they can, if they dont they dont have too and can ignore it since she did not demand it

cheating is a part of life, we cheat to win
it depends how u look at it, i personally couldnt careless in life u get ppl to do ur bidding someone will do some will not

Not really a good reason. Okay so we do all cheat. But that almost unfair.

    Here's an example:

Lets say you and me are in a gfx battle.

My tag is worse than yours. I go to another fourm posting ask for them to vote for me. They do. I win. How would you feel, if we both know that you had the better tag and i won dirty.

So what if they're not going "VOTE FOR ME NOW"

It is a choice. But still none the less looks at how many gamerenders member's there are. Asking them to vote for a certain person is un fair.

If they do post about a poll they should post the poll not saying who they are.

So your justifying alot of stuff with that post.

So to pass school I should cheat on my tests?

I should kill people That could gain me they're will/life insurance?

I should steal a car instead of buying one?

I should find a way to aviod my taxes?

So your saying on election day I can poitn a gun and tell them to vote or die(for a certain side) I gave them a choice to vote or die.

SO is that what your saying?

We shouldn't remove these topics, for member personal gain instead of playing fair?

So your justifing all those thing listed above?

Plus in kirbir's thread she is an "influential member to gamerenders" Alot of people are her freind's...and would vote for her. But posting about it is all wrong.

She should've ask them via msn/aim/emial.

And she shouldn't have told us who to vote for.

I know some members would do anything for kirbir. Like one of them was strongly apposed to something being discussed in a thread. Kirbir agreed with the other side. SO they followed her and agreed with her instead of sticking with there rightful opinion. But they quoted kirbir and posted agree.

But she ask for it. So what they're not a huge difference between that and what she and other gamerenders member's are doing.

She is asking for they're votes when they're our people on this forum that would do ANYTHING for kibir.

So as I've said before. They should have posted the link to the poll not saying who to vote for.

And lets make that compairon of what you've justifed more gamerender related.

They're a rule saying you can't vote for yourself in battles.

But with what you've just said, I could make 7 accounts vote for myself and win and according to your views that completely okay even throught the other Member(s) played it fair and you didn't. Seeing as that would be consider wrong according to gamerenders rules so shouldn't this kind's of topic. Only helping people gain personally.

Ps: No offen to kirbir yet again.

And sorry for all the grammer mistakes.

Do you live in a democratic society?

Have you ever vote for your president or house of parliament?
Did they try to win votes over by having "Votes For Me" campaigns?

Somehow, when you vote for a person, it's never completely based on the the skills that is linked to the contest/competition. It's a bit of everything. That includes the charm, reputation & other traits of the person.

Voting will rarely be completely objective.

    my 2 cents
