Well, it didn't make mine slow. I'd recommend Visual Styles though. Just patch your windows files using a uxtheme patcher and apply Visual Styles. It's easier and you don't need any other programs for it.
I haven't had any problems with it. It hasn't really caused me any lag and no bugs or virus's as far as i know.
lol of course its safe, hasnt cost me any lag either(and my comp sucks) and idk what all thes ppl are saying about it skrewed up ther comp ive had it since like forever and it hasnt done anything to my computer
That's what I'm using and works just fine. WindowsBlinds did make my comp a little slow when I opened other apps though. You can find some sweet visual styles on deviantART.
You need to pay a price to pimp up your desktop , so who cares about slowing down. I have 512MB RAM and I am fine on it. Virus free it is unless you torrented yours
it's virus free. as for slowing down your system, it won't really hit performance in things that actually need it, but yes, your system does become somewhat less responcive. I last used it around 2 years ago on an system with an athlon xp 3000+ 512mb DDR400 RAM @333mhz and 64mb int video(stolwn directly from my system RAM) responciveness was a bit lessened as was said but it's no big deal. I don't think it would even phase my current system right now to be honest though, I just don't want to bother with it, any program adds around 1/10th of a secodn to your boot time just due to file seeking. I've personally just stuck to windows clasic or else visual styles. It's free and completely legal, I try to limit my pirating as much as possible.
Windowsblinds is virusfree, but most fo the new skins are buggy and it's ----s up your cursor at photoshop. I use it most of the time but when i'm gonna Photoshop I have to take it off, pretty annoying.
