After playing half life 2, i get up to the chapter sand traps. up to the part after i kill the mother antlion and the vortigaunt teaches me how to use the bugbait. once i get to the end of the tunnel, it starts loading, then my game crashes. so i save my save files, reinstall steam, and put in the save files. when i load the save files, it works. so i go kill the mother again, bla bla, then i go to the end of the cave. game crashes. wen i try to start up the save file again, it wont start, and my game background becomes black. i went to console and saw this message: http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/8097/hl2ssgm3.png . I dont want to start from the begginnning because this is one long game. Any one know how to fix this or know any cheat that unlocks all chapters? note: i whited out my account name for privacy
well im not sure whats wrong, but you can jump chapters in the console, look it up with google and search for half life 2 cheats i think. i dont use them, but my neighbor does
I think you can do this sv_cheats 1 and then type in maps* ---^shows u all maps in game--- take the name of the map, copy it and then type in map ::map name:: You'd have to figure out which map it is but u could probably find pics of all the maps in wikipedia or something
