i dont have a ds lite but i have just a normal ds.

i am very happy with my ds. the graphics are not the best but gameplay is great and it is very simple and easy to just pick up and play.

I guess i am the only one here that bought a Lite. DS Lite is way better then the Psp will ever be. Its worth the money its better and cheaper than the Psp.Plus a solid library of game titles. DS games are always fun. Playstation needs to quit the gaming industry now! The X-Box owns them and Nintendo owns them. they will die from the pressure; yes, no more consoles that suck!

Just because its cheaper that doesnt make it better,

DS has 5 mario games (Im sick of mario.he was cool twenty years ago) ,bad ports, and excessive library which about 65% of games that dont pass the rating of 6

..i have a regular DS ..brain age, castlevania, advance wars, kirby canvas are among my favorite games for it

I would reccomend it for someone 10 and under

    i reccomend psp for 11+

ds is not better that psp.
psp is better than DS if your looking for feautures

And i couldnt live without Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops,twisted metal, valkyrie profile and other great titles.

Oh and yeah MOST FPS suck on DS

If you have never owned a sony console I reccomend getting the DS/otherwise well u know

i never said cheap makes it better i said it was cheap and better duh

Ds has beat psp in almost every reveiw. PSP sucks especially in gameplay.
Anyways your call a psp is a waste of money but hey whatever.

so i guess ur views on wii and ps3 are the similar?

if u want something with widescreen, decent graphics, lays dvd-quality movies,mp3 player, changebale memory card(u can get one up to 4g as of now),anolog stick, their is a media manager for psp which helps organize photos and music,u can web browse on psp, and the online is better...And it doesnt matter if u have wireless or not.since psp is portable go to the library lol

On the other hand if ur gonna get a handheld just for gaming..u might as well save a little cash and get a DS

    psp games suck.

All the good games are games that are meant for consoles. Metal Gear solid and those other games you mentioned aren't good games to play when you only have a few minutes to spare. They are more of a sit down and get into games that should be done on consoles.

Brain age, mario kart, elite beat agents and all those games are games you can play have fun and turn off without caring if you saved progress or not because you know its going to be just as fun playing the same level again. Unlike those deep complex story mode games that playing the same level more then once seems like a burden then actual fun.

Having photos and music on a psp is probably the dumbest thing. most people have mp3 players, crosses out need for music. Your probably gonna be one of the few people that are going to be seeing the pictures on your psp, Chances that you need to show someone a picture so urgently while your away from home that you cant send to them later over email or im are so slim its not worth wasting your money.

Am i seriously going to have to fight off you nintendo fanboys all night long??

Is buying a psp for 70$ more //really going to get u bankrupt?

eventually these types games become repetitive and redundant//

Whats wrong with being immersed into gameplay..whats wrong with a good story line with cut scenes and voice over work? these are thing that werent thought of until Psp came to market...

Oh yeah and when u turn the psp off(or if it runs out of battery) if u were in middle of the game it starts back up where u left it...)its my own way of saving)

Psp is made like a ps2/controller.People who end up buying psp want an experience similar to what they have on a ps2 console

therefor the name Playstation Portable......Playstation Console On The Go..it makes sense when u think about it :)

    Like i clearly said before if uve had/have a ps2 or a ps1 i'd highly reccomend a psp

So are the psp's features useless cus the ds doesnt have them or do they really suck?

Just beacause u wont use it doesnt mean someone else wont

Games in widescreen owns the ds screen format,(yeah both of them)
    -graphics are better
    -games aimed at older crowds
-about 75% games offer online modes
-Sony is updating the psp with new features by adding updates like every 2-3 months..
-It has a usb port which creates pc compatibility(or in some peoples cases another way to charge)
-their is a lot of 3rd party hardware for psp, memory cards, hardrives, batteries, cases, and even theatre systems
-if u have "tivo" u can download tv shows to ur psp
-u can buy a peripheral that will let u listen to radio
-u can download psp demos through ur psp web browser
-u can listen to podcast through web browser
-in the future u will be able to but ps1 games for it..
-and it has functonality with ps2 and ps3
    So..overall
Psp is best for travels cus i can watch movies, and play games, and listen to music

The DS can do maybe a 5th of that.....But dont forget its 70$ cheaper :D so that makes all the difference

Am i seriously going to have to fight off you nintendo fanboys all night long??

I felt the need to take out more of the irrelevant stuff.

Games in widescreen owns the ds screen format,(yeah both of them)

    Only on some games
    -games aimed at older crowds
No ----, Nintendo is a family orientated console/brand.
-about 75% games offer online modes
OMG, I don't think Nintendo offers any online ds games...(Sarcastic)
-Sony is updating the psp with new features by adding updates like every 2-3 months..
Maybe thats what the lite is. -.-
-It has a usb port which creates pc compatibility(or in some peoples cases another way to charge)
    Wow... Such advanced-ness. -.-
-their is a lot of 3rd party hardware for psp, memory cards, hardrives, batteries, cases, and even theatre systems
Because you can have all these excessories, doesn't mean its better.
-if u have "tivo" u can download tv shows to ur psp
Thats what I would buy a PSP for. TO watch TV.
-u can buy a peripheral that will let u listen to radio
Because people listen to radio all the damn time =]
-u can download psp demos through ur psp web browser
Wow.. Download a demo to take up more space... Nintendo has demo's almost the same way.
-u can listen to podcast through web browser
Yet again, when do people buy the psp just for this?
-in the future u will be able to but ps1 games for it..
Wow, in the future you'll be able to buy all sorts of remade nintendo games for the DS!
-and it has functonality with ps2 and ps3
Yeah... The gameboy isn't compatible with the gamecube... (Sarcastic)
    So..overall
Psp is best for travels cus i can watch movies, and play games, and listen to music
But for better gameplay and a good constant story DS is better.

The DS can do maybe a 5th of that.....But dont forget its 70$ cheaper :D so that makes all the difference.
Normally it does. There's nothing wrong with buying a cheaper system that can't do a few things.
