Just Re-formated Cant Get Internet Set Up

I just reformated and cannot get the internet set up.


I have my computer which is connected to a netgear wireless router by a red cable. Thats pretty much all I know Thanks

 

when you type 192.168.0.1 in a web browser does it work?

if it doesn't you haven't connected it properly (cables, drivers, etc)

 

install drivers

 

I did do my drivers, the internet was working fine until I install the videocard drivers from nvidia.

 

Check your windows firewall and any other firewall you may have set up on your computer.

Turn those off and see if it works.

If not go to Start -> control panel -> network connections

and see if any of them are disabled, if this doesnt work pm me and i will try to help you to the best of my abilities .

 

most likely you didnt install the drivers correctly, or theyre out of date imo

 

was the wireless device connected to your comp when you installed the drivers and everything?

 

This is what I did when I re-formated


Installed mobo drivers > put my backed up music on the computer and some other files > Video card drivers > the internet stopped working.

Its funny, I uninstalled the ethernet mobo drivers and then rebooted. My computer asked me to install some "new found hardware" some bus enumerator I said yes and it worked
