I'm going to buy myself a digital camera with the money my parents are giving me for Epiphany. I've been looking at walmart.com for a couple mins and really don't know which one to pick.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
What should I look for ?
*price must be 300 or less

meh...You dont just look at the 6MP sign and say ooo its high i get it

You look at the shoot modes , focus , size of digi screen , connectivity , can you override the automatic settings ie change the focus and aperture settings

Ive done all this - Got a module dealing with photography - lol in my Multimedia Computing course

Anyways from those 2 digicams ... I choose the Pentax brand

    --- Photography reputation
    Higher pixel count
    Weighs less
Can go to a higher lens aperture - Casio has 2.7-4.3 whereas Pentax 2.7-5.2
Higher internal memory - 23mb compared to 8mb approx

Thats all I can say for these 2

However, keep in mind the MP dont mean jack if the lens and focus cant do anything - Also the extra features like modes and larger screensize [drains batteries] etc is a plus

Ill say the good digicams come from Fujifilm , Pentax , Olympus , Canon and a few others - But these are the major brands

Hope it helps - Need more just post :)
