    i have hard drives

    and with a dvd burner, can they both burn cd's and dvd's, as well as read discs?

    a dvd burner can burn and read dvds and cd's.

    that's fine, just read the reviews to get a general idea. dont believe everything you read, though..

    any burner around 30 is perfect. I have a Samsung dvd burner in my dad's computer, a Lite-on one with mine. they both run fine

    bad bad dont get 939, d=939 is dead and one for am2 for the new quads or please lga 775 for the c2d

    u should build one urself

    btw, im not sure if this is the case in USA (i think it is though) E6300, the cheapest c2d is cheaper than a lot of athlon processors but absolutely whoops their arse, and i used to be an AMD fanboy.

    I think you should go down the core 2 duo route as I think it would last you longer, as if you are confident you can overclock it and then it surpasses the FX60...

    Don't get that shuttle, just use a normal ATX case. Core 2 Duo is the way to go pick a suitable processor, mobo and memory first, rest comes later. What's your budget?

    Get Core 2 Duo. They own the AMD high range. A $250 E6400 owns a $899 AMD FX-60
